19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized the Russian player claimed his first title for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult year, managing just one win at the big events and undergoing a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - caused him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now working with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first championship following the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface since spring of the previous year.
The win also indicates he has secured 21 titles at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a title is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child her name, because the maiden victory I won when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six finals, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and recurring reactions on court had caused commentators to doubt if his skill to compete at the top level was finished.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play aggressively, supported by an improved serve.
The champion came back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair traded service breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his maiden ATP Tour title, gained dominance to push for a decider.
He defended 4 early chances in a close final set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured victory with a shot at the net, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
